The Saunders Hotel was a replacement hotel for the Witt Hotel that was destroyed by fire. The formal opening of the new and beautiful Saunders Hotel was held on Friday, August 19, 1932. The building is Georgian type architecture and is a two story structure consisting of approximately 30 rooms, including the lobby. The original tile and hard wood floor offset the updates that have been done to the building. The old building is known in town as the Victoria Place. The Victoria Place is the current home of Benefit Professionals, Inc.
